Camping 08/2010, Meadows Camp Ground

Our annually camping trip!! We never
last long- one day. But we have fun!
We were going to try for two days, but
we got rained out. I didn't want to risk
someone getting hurt with lighting or
something. And with Mr. Travis and
all of his luck...I didn't want him to
end up with pneumonia from running
around in the rain.

River Fun!!

Kasadee!!!!

This is his poor little eye!! He was sweeping
the little patio and tripped and hit his eye
on the picnic table bench!! He cried until he fell
asleep! So sad! He kept saying Kasadee pushed him,
but luckily for her she wasn't even by him :) When
we got home he told the neighbors I did it!! Ben
couldn't stop laughing!!! What a kid!!!!

We actually got a good family picture!!
And it only took two try's!!!

Travis was having fun with the camera!!!

Why are there so many songs about rainbows...

....and whats on the other side?

If you look close you can see that it was a double rainbow!

This is one of the advantages we have at our house; from the deck or kitchen window you can see beautiful mountains, rainbows, sun rises and sun sets!!

Happy Birthday KrisLyn!

KirsLyn celebrated her 11th Birthday!! On Friday night we celebrated with just our family. We had her favorite dinner-spaghetti! She got to open presents. Tayson made her a Birthday crown and fixed the dinner for her. Kasadee gave her a bracelet and belt and her spare change (it was like $.20). On Saturday she invited friends over for manicures and pedicures! We had her cousin come over and show us how do pedicures and she pained their nails with cute little designs!

Art Moves Me

2010---Julie Moffit Ballet School

KrisLyn Recital was AWESOME!!!!!

Make up on, bags packed/
in the car, smile on her face
and ready to go!!!

Heading down the stairs to find the
dressing room. We got to under the stage!!!
So awesome, how many times do you get
to go under the stage at the Egyptian Theater?!

She did an awesome job!!! The whole show was just great (just ask Kasadee)! My favorite part was a group of boys that did a tap dance like Charlie Chaplin. They had tuxes, top hats, mustaches and canes. They did all the classic moves it was great!!! KrisLyn's Hard Knock Life was my second favorite!!! I didn't even recognize her when they came of stage!!! Her hair was all ratted and fluffy, they had Miss Hanagin stumble out on stage a couple times. Then all the very end of the song as they were in their final pose, she knocked one girl and all the girls fell in a domino affect! It was great! Her other performance was called Patch Work Quilt- they all had bright colored, flowing, beautiful costumes. They did a beautiful ballet dance. It was a very nice recital (all 3 hours!!) When we get the DVD I will try to post her dances! She won a trophy for just being in the recital, a certificate for perfect attendance (we actually forgot on dance class, but who's complaining?!) and a three year pin for being there for three years!

Tayson at his first Piano Recital

Tayson had his first piano recital, he did a great job. I don't think he was nervous-he didn't act like it anyways. I hope he keeps playing, I have a hard time getting him to practice. But what 9 yr old likes to sit for very long?! Or maybe I am just nagging him, time will tell. But he does like to just play the piano, his aunt Kellie can play one of Josh Groban's songs (Remember When it Rained), he has watched her and can play the first line. Anyways, here is the video, its a little bumpy Travis was on my lap and I don't know how to make it right side up :)

Drum roll please.......

Yet another master piece by Picaso himself--->Travis!

Happy Burday to you....

Happy Birthday Travis!!! Well he got what he wanted from the TV commercials...a color changing hot wheels/Disney Cars set!! Thanks to Grandma, Papa and Kellie!! He also got a tonka dump truck and monster trucks. He also got treats from his nursery leaders. He is getting so big...we love you tons!!! Crazy boy!!

What a little monster!!!

While I was lecturing Tayson on feeding the dog and practicing piano....

And he says ,"I hansome!"

Recital time is in the air!!!

This is KrisLyn's Tap costume...they are dancing to Its a Hard Knock Life from the movie Annie.

***Back***

Travis, Travis, Travis...

A few funny things Travis has done or said:

*he followed Kasadee and her friends outside without any shoes and a blanket for a coat, they trudged through the snow around to the back of the house. Our neighbor happened to be outside and was watching to see what he would do. He took off his blanket, laid it on the snow and picked up the edges and started walking (waddling) his way back to the kids!! Never mind he could have went back inside and used to back door...silly boy!!

*this morning I woke up to him saying... "mom wake up, I Trabis" "I need water".

*he insists on doing everything himself- like making his own PB&J sandwiches. He gets all ingredients out himself, slabs on the PB&J, puts it on a plate and downs it. He eats it better than when I make it for him, stubborn little butt!!

*when he sees toys on TV he says, "I want that my Burday!" Isn't he to young to start saying that?!

Oh Travis what would we do without you?! Its always a surprise what he will do next! He has adjusted to his medication, he hasn't thrown up or had a seizure for months now!! Yay!!

Happy New Year

I know, I know its been a long time since I have anything on this blog. Sorry. Our year has had its ups and downs like everyone. It seems the economy has affected everyone in one way or the other. But we have had a good year any ways. Lots of good times together. Ben's arthritis has done very well, it was acting up at the beginning of winter but he is doing great now. He will be able to apply for supervisor type jobs in June...hope that goes good:) KrisLyn is dancing away and loves to read! Tayson is dong well, we thought he had arthritis, but his blood work came back very, very good. The chances of him ever developing arthritis are low. He is doing well in school...I think he gets bored. And he seems to like cub scouts. Kasadee LOVES school!! I rarely have to wake her up, she is usually the first up, dressed and ready to go before anyone is out of bed. She makes of laugh constantly. Travis, Travis, Travis! Poor little Travis! He had a seizure in November and we thought that was the start of the problems. But he had started throwing up back in October and I knew something was wrong then, but he wasn't losing weight or acting sick. So I never took him in for it. Well after his seizure we found the real reason for the throwing up, it was a type of seizure. He has been on seizure medicine for over a month and has had only a few throw up episodes and one possible seizure. But we are still in the beginning stages of balancing the dosage of the medication. As for me I am doing good. I am enjoying life as a mom my kids are so cute, even when they drive into insanity the good times out weigh the bad!!

HaPpY nEw YeArS!!!!!
